BTU-Center’s results at Biofach 2021 and plans for the future, at Agroportal.ua

For the coming several years, BTU-Center focuses on the countries of Western and Eastern Europe, because European Union is the locomotive of organic agriculture and sets the leading industry benchmark.

Dmytro Yakovenko, head of the International Sales department at BTU-Center, talks to Agroportal.ua about this, after the company participated in the largest organic industry tradeshow BioFach 2021.

“The countries of Europe set ambitious goals for growing organic crops. This is why our company has opened a representative dealer office in Germany and we are actively registering our products on European markets. Because of the pandemic-related limitations, we had to cut down own visit abroad to international partners and event for international audience, and partially move online. Our latest webinars on soil recovery and seeds inoculation gathered representatives of 20 countries and 5 continents” – tells Dmytro Yakovenko.

As for the latest Biofach tradeshow, he mentions that the company has filtered a large amount of contacts and has had dozens of meetings.

“We have quite a long cycle from first contact to consistent sales, because our consumers first take the products for field trials. We are already negotiating this season’s trials with potential customers” – explains Dmytro.

Note: BTU-Center is a Ukrainian manufacturer of microbial and enzyme preparations for agriculture. The company’s products are allowed for use in organic agriculture, which is confirmed by the Organic Standard certificate. The enterprise has own production facilities and attested laboratories.
