KEY TO STRONGER ROOTS AND HEALTHIER SOIL IN GREENHOUSES WITH DRIP IRRIGATION

KEY TO STRONGER ROOTS AND HEALTHIER SOIL IN GREENHOUSES WITH DRIP IRRIGATION
Providing plants with optimal conditions for root system development is key to achieving a high-quality yield. Using Groundfix and Mycohelp in drip irrigation systems throughout the season significantly enhances root development and improves nutrient absorption. These two bioproducts contain beneficial microorganisms that promote healthy plant growth.Let’s take a closer look at how these products work and why their application is so important:

1.Powerful Stimulation of the Root System

The main advantage of using Groundfix and Mycohelp is that they stimulate the growth of the plant root system. The microorganisms in these products act within the soil, promoting the development of new root hairs and expanding the root-feeding zone.

Groundfix Classic, SC contains a complex of microorganisms: Bacillus, Priesta and Agrobacterium.

Groundfix Extreme, SC contains Bacillus, Priesta, Paenibacillus spp. These microorganisms assist in the mobilization of phosphorus and potassium from the soil, making these elements more accessible to plants. Phosphorus and potassium are crucial for energy, developing the root system, and enhancing plant resilience to stress.  Mycohelp contains Trichoderma, Bacillus velezensis (Bacillus subtilis), Agrobacterium pusense (Azotobacter chroococcum), Enterobacter sp. (Agrobacterium salinitolerans), and Enterococcus sp. These microorganisms help activate the root system, mobilize nutrients, and fix nitrogen, increasing the availability of nutrients for plants and improving development under limited nutrient conditions.

                                                                                                                   2.Enhancing Soil Biological Activity

One of the key factors for plant health is the diversity and balance of microorganisms in the soil. Regular use of Groundfix and Mycohelp in drip irrigation helps create a favorable environment for the development of beneficial microbiota. The microorganisms in these products colonize the root zone, boosting the soil's biological activity. This enables plants to be resilient to stress and promotes overall yield improvement.

3.Mobilization of Important Nutrients from the Soil

One of the main functions of Groundfix is to mobilize phosphorus and potassium from the soil. Bacteria like Bacillus and Priestia can convert inaccessible phosphorus and potassium compounds into forms that are easily available to plants. This enhances nutrient absorption efficiency and reduces the need for extra mineral fertilizers.

Mycohelp enhances plant nutrition and strengthens the root system through the combined actions of Trichoderma and Bacillus spp. Trichoderma stimulates root growth, improves nutrient availability, and aids in decomposing organic residues, enriching the soil. Bacillus produces biologically active compounds that support the development of beneficial microorganisms. Enterobacter and Enterococcus enhance nutrient availability (phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium), promote plant growth, improve soil health, and boost plant resistance to stress.

Benefits of Drip Irrigation with Groundfix and Mycohelp

Drip irrigation guarantees the consistent delivery of bioproducts straight to the root zone of plants. Here’s why it works well:

 • The products reach the active root system zone. Microorganisms quickly colonize the root area and begin functioning exactly where they are needed most.  • Irrigation provides a consistent moisture supply and uniform distribution of beneficial substances, supporting the ongoing mobilization of phosphorus, potassium, and other nutrients. • Drip irrigation saves water and allows for more precise product application, which helps minimize waste and enhance product effectiveness.

 Practical Aspects of Use

Using Groundfix andMycohelp in drip irrigation enables the consistent delivery of beneficial microorganisms to the root zone of plants throughout the season. This enhances nutrient availability and promotes sustainable plant development. For optimal results, it is advisable to apply these products regularly, starting from planting and continuing until the season concludes.

Application methods and rates

The optimal method for applying Groundfix is through fertigation. The application rate will vary for each product since we have different types of Groundfix:

 Groundfix, SC - 3 -5 l/ha

 Groundfix Extreme, SC – 1,0 – 3,0 l/ha

Mycohelp can be applied in two ways: as a leaf spray and for soil treatment/fertigation. The choice of method depends on the issue you aim to resolve and the capabilities of your equipment.
The application rate:

Greenhouses – 3 – 5 l/ha

Open fields – 1 – 3 l/ha

Integrating Groundfix and Mycohelp into drip irrigation systems offers a powerful way to enhance root development and improve soil health. These bioproducts not only mobilize key nutrients like phosphorus and potassium but also foster a thriving microbial environment that boosts plant resilience and overall yield. By consistently applying these products throughout the growing season, growers can optimize plant nutrition and create sustainable, high-performing crops.
